The idea

The paper you are actually sitting

Think of the paper as four small machines, not one big test.

One machine gives you a Spanish text and asks questions about it. One gives you sentences with holes and asks for the right verb. One gives you sentences to carry across into the other language. One asks you to write eight or ten lines about yourself.

None of them asks for anything you have not already done in class. Your notes are a transcript of all four.
