Factor rating: the six steps
The professor's own numbering. Write the six steps as headings and the arithmetic almost does itself.
- Develop a list of relevant factors called key success factors
- Assign a weight to each factor
- Develop a scale for each factor, usually 0 to 100
- Score each location on each factor
- Multiply the score by the weight for each factor for each location, and sum
- Recommend on the basis of the highest composite score
It is popular because a wide variety of factors can be included, money and non-money together.
