The product structure tree
Product structure treeA visual depiction of the requirements in a bill of materials, with all components listed by levels.
Level 0 is the end item. Level 1 is what goes directly into it, and so on down. The number in brackets after a component is how many of it go into one of its parent, not into one end item.
So multiply down the branches. If A needs 3 of C, and C needs 2 of G, then one A needs 6 of G.
