Goal 4: show ranking
Bar or column charts, sorted on the quantitative variable. That is the whole answer.
Sorting is not decoration. An unsorted bar chart makes the reader do the ranking themselves, which is the work you were supposed to do for them.
The textbook's own advice closes the guide: experiment with different approaches before deciding, because there are exceptions to every rule and even the experts disagree.
