Power BI has around thirty visual types and no opinion about which you should use. Ask for a 3-D pie chart of thirty categories and it obliges.
So the chart-selection rules do not go away when you leave Excel. They matter more, because the tool removes the friction that used to stop you.
This chapter is the design chapters applied inside the tool, and it is the closest rehearsal for the exam, which asks you to identify and explain the appropriate visualisation for a scenario.
